MedicomVIP, a specialized clinique for plastic and aesthetic surgery, held a well attended press conference in the city of Prague on April 14, 2010, presenting the results of the first patient in the Czech Republic who had breast augmentation with autologous stem and regenerative cells.
Ms. Verka, a young waitress, had been dissatisfied with her breasts and thinking about breast enlargement surgery for over 2 years. Many patients want a more dramatic look, but she just wanted to feel a little better about herself. When she talked to the doctors, implants were not an option for her. She wanted a small increase in her breasts, but they had to look natural. The doctors found her to be an ideal candidate for cell-enriched surgery. Ms. Verka was excited about the idea. During the procedure, which lasted about 6 hours, fat was first harvested from her belly, hips, inner and outer thighs, then it was processed to extract her stem and regenerative cells, to be finished with a cell-enriched fat graft that was transferred to her breast. Her recovery was easy and without complications and after 4 days of resting she went back to work.
At the press conference, Ms. Verka shared her experiences: “I’m happy that the surgery was quick and recovery period short. When I first looked in the mirror, I thought my breasts were a bit too big, but once the swelling subsided they are exactly as big as I wanted them. I like them. I have a lot more confidence now. I feel much more attractive because my body looks the way I’ve wanted it to look. I am so happy I had this done and I would do it again.”
