Dozens of British women who have undergone either partial or full mastectomies have been treated with a new procedure using their own fat and stem cells to repair the breast tissue. Professor Kefah Mokebel, constultant breast surgeon at the London Breast Institute, is making the procedure available to healthy women in a trial to begin in May. He expects the procedure to be available privately by the end of the year.
