Other Cell-Enriched Procedures Using Autologous

 

Using the same principles as described for natural breast augmentation and facial rejuvenation, your patient’s own adipose-derived stem and regenerative cells (ADRCs) in conjunction with your patient’s own body fat can be used to cosmetically enhance your patient’s appearance in a host of other cosmetic, reconstructive, and soft tissue regeneration procedures. Applications include, but are not limited to:

1) Use of Stem and Regenerative Cells

 

Cytori researchers and clinicians investigated the use and addition of adipose-derived stem and regenerative cells (ADRCs) to the fat graft to assess the cells’ potential in improving graft survival. Our collaborators and our own experiences with these cells confirm that ADRCs promote fat graft survival by stimulating growth factors to form and maintain new blood vessels, thus providing necessary oxygen and nutrients. Clinical data demonstrates the effectiveness of this new approach. Further data is forthcoming and will be shared on this site.    

 

2) Automation with Celution® 800/CRS System

 

To increase consistency, we developed the Celution® 800/CRS System, which automates and standardizes several aspects of fat grafting. Available to physicians in Europe and Asia, the product allows the physician to wash the fat graft, extract the stem and regenerative cells residing within the tissue, and mix the fat with the cells to create a cell-enriched fat graft, which he or she can then redeliver to the patient.
